The Trump/CBS 60 Minutes Lawsuit Goes to Arbitration

The arrogant dismissiveness of the “fake news” mainstream media has finally met its match.

CBS News has agreed to go to arbitration to settle their lawsuit with President Donald Trump, in essence agreeing that, yes, they put their finger on the scale in an attempt to influence the 2024 presidential election.

As a news organization broadcasting on airwaves licensed to them by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), there are conditions which must be met. Not the least of which is to provide unbiased news coverage. But when CBS engaged in stunningly biased and extensive editing of their interview of Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris, they violated their FCC license with the intent of swaying the election in favor of Harris. Trump sued, and Trump is going to win the multi-billion-dollar lawsuit. Hence the upcoming mediation.

And yet, CBS News and CBS ‘60 Minutes’ remain defiant even to the point of risking the demise of both organizations. To further complicate matters, Paramount, the owner of CBS, is attempting to complete a merger with media conglomerate SkyDance, and CBS - especially its news division which includes ‘60 Minutes’ - is openly and intentionally compromising the merger by refusing to moderate their biased reporting. And the FCC is refusing to approve the Paramount/SkyDance merger.

The amount of the settlement could potentially be greater than the value of Paramount and CBS News combined. When the dust settles, a financial settlement agreed upon, and the SkyDance/Paramount merger completed, there may not be a CBS News or ‘60 Minutes’ any longer.

Wouldn’t that be ironic? CBS News and ‘60 Minutes’, two organizations which did their best to destroy Donald Trump, would be nothing but a distant memory, and Donald J. Trump will be standing tall as the 47th President of the United States.
